And of course, much of this book is really a dedication to Andre The Giant who really was a gentle giant and sadly passed away in his 40's. Cary talks about his first discussing and eventually taking the part with Director, Rob Reiner and first encounters meeting all his co-stars, Robin Wright, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest (Spinal Tap) and Mandy Patinkin. However, this evidently was short-lived and thought maybe it was time.Īs You Wish did not disappoint and reaffirms how special this film really is, even for those who starred in it. However, I may have pushed back reading it as, like most nostalgic memories, one didn't want to be disappointed or learn that some of the cherished characters were actually petty squabbling during filming.
